Questions about ChatGPT ads

Can I advertise on ChatGPT in Singapore?

Yes. OpenAI opened ChatGPT ads in Singapore in September 2026. To sign up, your business has to be registered in a country where ChatGPT ads are open, such as Singapore; new accounts may at first advertise only in their home country. The ads can appear below ChatGPT’s answer, for people using ChatGPT for free or on the Go plan; Plus and Pro subscribers don’t see ads.

How much do ChatGPT ads cost?

Two parts. Your ad spend goes to OpenAI: you set the budget (the minimum is S$4 a day) and pay per click or per thousand views. Our management is S$488 a month, month to month, with no setup fee, for budgets up to S$5,000 a month.

Will ChatGPT ads make ChatGPT recommend my business?

No. OpenAI says ads don’t influence ChatGPT’s answers: they run on separate systems and can appear below the answer, labelled as sponsored. Being named in the answer itself is separate work, which is our AI Visibility service.

Can clinics, lawyers and financial advisers advertise on ChatGPT in Singapore?

Generally not. OpenAI’s ad policy (updated 10 September 2026) prohibits ads for legal services outside the US, and generally prohibits ads for health and financial services there too. For these businesses, being named in ChatGPT’s answer is the way in.

Who owns the ad account?

You do. Your company opens it at ads.openai.com and invites us in. If you stop working with us, the account, its ads and its history stay with you.
