Who can get your business recommended by ChatGPT in Singapore? The options, compared (2026)

You have three options for getting your business recommended by ChatGPT in Singapore: (a) do it yourself, (b) hire a general SEO or digital agency that has added "GEO" or "AI SEO" to its services, or (c) hire a specialist built around AI search. The seven questions at the end of this article work on all three. GEO (generative engine optimisation) simply means making your business easy for tools like ChatGPT to find, understand and name.

The three options
(a) Do it yourself. This costs time, not fees. It suits an owner who can spare a few hours a week.
(b) A general SEO or digital agency that now offers GEO. It may already know your business, and may fold AI visibility into the retainer you have. Ask whether it is a separate scope with its own reporting, or a new label on the same work.
(c) A specialist. A firm built around AI search, which is what we are. The category is new, so ask any specialist, us included, for dated evidence rather than a pitch.
Who ChatGPT names today
On 7 October 2026 we put ten questions a Singapore buyer might type to ChatGPT and to Google's AI Mode, for example "Best GEO agency in Singapore" and "Is there an agency in Singapore that specialises in AI search visibility (ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews)?" Both were logged out, each question was a fresh chat, and each was run once. Answers change from run to run, so this is a dated snapshot, not a ranking.
Across those 20 answers (10 questions, two engines), the agencies named most often were:
- OOm: 6 answers (ChatGPT 4, Google AI Mode 2)
- Impossible Marketing: 5 (ChatGPT 1, Google 4)
- Rankpage: 5 (ChatGPT 3, Google 2)
- AI Studio: 4 (ChatGPT 1, Google 3)
- Hashmeta: 4 (ChatGPT 2, Google 2)
The pages the answers drew on most were agency-run "best of" lists. Counting how many of the 20 answers listed a site among their sources: MediaPlus Digital 11, AI Studio Singapore 7, Upscaled 6, Stridec 3. Each of those sites belongs to an agency. If an agency says it is on the lists, ask how a firm gets onto them.
Price was a gap. Asked what it costs to show up in ChatGPT answers, ChatGPT read the question as buying OpenAI ads and named no agency. Google quoted agency retainers of S$2,500 to S$8,000+ a month.

This is not a ranking and says nothing about quality, and the table does not sort agencies into options (b) and (c): that is a judgement for you to make after asking the questions below. Offers and proof are paraphrased from each agency's own site. "They say" marks a claim we have not checked. "Not published" means we found no price on the pages we read on 7 October 2026. What to ask before you hire anyone
- Show me your own ChatGPT results. For your agency and for a client, with dates and screenshots. A claim without a date can't be checked.
- Which questions will you test, logged out, and from where? Wording and location change the answer: in our tests Senior Living Malaysia was sometimes named first when asked from Singapore, but not when the question began "I live in Kuala Lumpur".
- Do you publish prices? If not, ask for a range and what it covers. Fewer than half the agencies in the table publish a price for AI visibility itself.
- What will you change on my website, and what happens off-site? On 7 October ChatGPT showed Google business map cards on 5 of 10 questions, and leaned on lists and directories. Ask who handles the Google profile, reviews and listings.
- How will you report? Ask for the questions tracked, how often, and whether you will see what ChatGPT gets wrong about you.
- How long is the contract, and can I leave? Terms differ across the table: one agency says cancel anytime, one says no twelve-month lock-in, one shows a 12-month commitment.
- Will you promise I'll be named? No one can guarantee placement, and ChatGPT said the same in our test. Treat a guarantee as a reason to ask more questions.
